The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1, NKJV.)

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you are called to live a bold, confident and overcoming life. You don’t have to live under a burden of fear. You don’t have to live with anxiety. Because of Jesus, fear, worry and uncertainty are beneath you. When you rise up in faith knowing that God is with you and for you, all doubt and fear has to leave your life.

Notice that today’s scripture says that the righteous are as bold as a lion. Righteousness is God’s way of doing things. When you do things His way, when you are submitted to His plan for your life, He promises success. It may not always be the way we had in mind, but ultimately, His plan is to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future!

Today, if you’ve been feeling anxious or fearful, begin to declare God’s truth over your life which will set you free! Declare that you are righteous in Christ Jesus! Declare that you are more than a conqueror! Declare that you are as bold as a lion because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!

When God says 'wait'.

Ah it can be so challenging.
I’ve been praying for a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ from God for ages and instead get a ‘not now, wait’.. I initially felt deflated and very inconvenienced.

What’s that supposed to mean ? The decision I have in front of me shapes everything of your character perfectly, and morally ticks all the boxes I made. Yet as I thirst for your definitive guidance and so desperately await your confirmation… I’m not getting any… why ?
So when you tell me the path I have in front of me isn’t confirmed or declined, but I rather have to wait, I feel stumped. Wait for what ?
I see what lies in front of me, and it is pleasing. It matches my desires and looks good as your will… yet I know I feel uneasy in taking the first step.

Should I just make my decision and ask that you bless it and guide my choices ? Or do I take the harder path by fully giving you my paper, allowing you to fully write my next chapter, knowing full well, that time is in your hands ?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

I think I knew what to do all along.
When told I had to wait on The Lord and His timing, and instant peace fell over me. Even though I so desperately wanted to pursue what was in front of me, the realization that I really don’t know what’s best for me at all fell in.

I knew fears and insecurities would accompany me down my so-thought ‘perfect’ path if were to pursue it now, things that God wanted to destroy first, as I gained dependance on Him alone.

Because the author of my life has a perfect plan for me, and I know God loves to bless His children. He knows the depths of our hearts and what’s best for us, and loves to bless us with our deepest desires when we truly align our vision to His cause and seek delight in Him. (Psalm 37:4)

So right now I’m still in the waiting period. However, my attention has shifted from waiting for His permission to take the next step, to soaking daily in His amazing presence, waiting on His timing and will alone, as I strengthen in patience and dependance on Him every day.

For I know that the person who trusts in the Lord with all their heart and leans not on their own understanding will see His goodness breakthrough and prevail in new areas of their lives, and will not fail.

Here I am Lord, may your will be done in my life as I wait on you !

When we meditate on the Word of God, we reprogram our minds. When we meditate on God’s goodness, we are developing a right mindset. When we choose to be grateful and focus on what’s right rather than what’s wrong, we are choosing a positive attitude. This doesn’t happen automatically; you have to discipline yourself to focus on the right things. You have to make a conscious effort to spend time in the Word of God every single day until a habit is formed.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8, NKJV.

We serve such a loving, gracious and generous God. He loves you so much that there isn’t anything He wouldn’t do in order to have a relationship with you. The Bible tells us that sin separates man from God. But God doesn’t want to be separated from us. That’s why He sent His Son into the world—to pay the penalty for sin so that you and I could live in eternity with Him.

So many people today think they have to earn their way to heaven. They think they have to be “good enough” or “do the right thing” in order to be accepted by God. They want to “clean up” before they come to Him. But notice what today’s verse says—salvation is a gift from God. You can’t earn a gift. You don’t pay for it. You can only receive it by faith. If you’ve never made Jesus the Lord of your life, I encourage you to receive this free gift. Let Him fill you with His eternal peace and joy so that you can live the abundant life He has for you.

Prayer for Today:

Father in heaven, I come to You today giving You all that I am. Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus. I believe He died and rose for me, and I invite You to be the Lord of every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
